From Kathmandu Post (11 Oct 2026): Malaysia keeps its list of 25 primary agencies and 250 sub-agencies under the FWCMS system. Agencies not on the list can't send workers from November 5. Nepal asked to open it to all licensed agencies; Malaysia said no. Nepal has stopped attesting demand letters from the listed agencies, so new recruitment is basically stuck right now.
Best is to wait for official DoFE notice before paying anyone.

Good news part: Malaysia plans to raise the minimum wage from RM1,700 to RM2,000 per month from June 2027, and it applies to foreign workers too (small companies under RM50 million turnover exempt at first).
