Who sets the gold price in Nepal?
The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (FENEGOSIDA) publishes the official rate every working day, based on the international price, the dollar rate and customs duty. Jewellers add making charges and VAT on top.
How many grams are in one tola?
One tola is 11.664 grams. The 10 gram rate is the tola rate divided by 1.1664.
What is the difference between fine gold and tejabi gold?
Fine gold is 99.99% pure (24 carat). Tejabi gold is slightly less pure and is priced a little lower than fine gold.
When does the rate change?
FENEGOSIDA usually publishes the day's rate in the morning. This page checks for the new rate several times a day.
