Visa application charge for the Student visa (subclass 500) is AUD 2,000 for the main applicant since 1 July 2025. It was AUD 710 until mid-2024, then AUD 1,600, now 2,000.
Financial capacity: living cost figure is AUD 29,710 for 12 months (since 10 May 2024). On top of that you show your first-year tuition and about AUD 2,000 travel. If spouse comes, add AUD 10,394, each child AUD 4,449.
Instead of savings you can show parents' or spouse's annual income: AUD 62,222 if only you, AUD 72,592 if family comes with you.

Adding one thing: Nepal is assessed under evidence level rules, so your university and Home Affairs can still ask for full financial documents even if the checklist looks simple. Keep 6 months of bank statements ready, plus source of funds (salary, business, land sale, loan papers). Education loan papers must show the bank, amount and that it's disbursable.
