As a contractor you are exporting a service. Common setup: 1. Get a PAN (individual is fine to start) 2. Receive payment into a USD account in a Nepali bank, through bank transfer, Payoneer or Wise to bank 3. Keep invoices and contracts for every payment 4. File your annual income tax return with IRD by the deadline (within 3 months after fiscal year end, extendable) With the Rs 10 lakh basic exemption from Budget 2083/84, many single-person freelancers pay much less than before. If income is large, talk to a CA about registering a firm for the IT export exemption.
