NPL Saturday matches at risk from rain: what happens if they are washed out?

Question

Kathmandu ma din bhari paani paryo. Bholi ko Lumbini vs Chitwan and Biratnagar vs Sudurpaschim hune ho ki nai? Is there a reserve day?

bishal_t · Accepted Answer

No reserve days in the league stage. If a match is abandoned, each team gets one point. A shortened game is possible as long as each side can bat at least 5 overs.

The weather office expects the cyclone's effect to start weakening from Saturday afternoon, so the 5 PM game has a better chance than the 12:30 one.

Squad news too: Janakpur Bolts' Pakistani players Iftikhar Ahmed and Hussain Shah have gone home because the PCB didn't issue their NOCs. Janakpur signed Bangladesh's Saif Hassan and Parvez Hossain Emon instead. https://english.nepalnews.com/s/sports/pakistani-cricketers-return-home-after-failing-to-secure-noc-for-npl/
