Lukla flights cancelled 2 days in a row: when will it clear?

The Kathmandu Post says bad weather from Cyclone Arnab disrupted domestic flights from Kathmandu, and Lukla could not be reached by air for a second day in a row. International flights are not affected.

The same rain caused landslides on the Prithvi Highway, washed away a road diversion in Gorkha, and brought heavy snow to the Kanchenjunga region.

If you have Everest region flights booked this week, what are the airlines saying about rebooking?

DHM said the cyclone's effect should ease from Saturday afternoon, so flights may resume from Sunday if the morning is clear. Lukla flights only go in good visibility, so expect a backlog of passengers for the first day or two.

Keep 1 or 2 buffer days in your plan for the Everest region, especially for the return flight before an international departure.

If you are driving to Pokhara, check the Prithvi Highway status before leaving. The KP report mentions landslides there too.
