Saw a post about a lodge on fire in Dingboche. My clients are on the EBC trail this week. Does anyone have details?
Hotel fire in Dingboche on Everest Base Camp route: any trekkers hurt?
It was Hotel Good Luck in Dingboche (Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality-5, Solukhumbu). The fire broke out around 11 AM on Friday. DSP Nabin Raja Budhathoki of the Solukhumbu police said preliminary information points to a cooking gas cylinder explosion; investigation is ongoing. The report so far mentions no casualties or injuries.
It is snowing in the area right now, so tell your clients to stay put if the guide says so.

Weather note for everyone in Khumbu: the cyclone's effect is expected to weaken from Saturday afternoon, but heavy snow is possible in the Himalaya on Friday night. Don't cross high passes until it clears.
Thank you. Will tell the guide to wait for the weather before going higher.
