Customs data for the first 3 months of this fiscal year: Nepal imported electric vehicles worth Rs 16.069 billion, and the government collected Rs 9.414 billion in revenue on them. - From China: 9,552 units, Rs 11.657 billion - From India: 3,162 units, Rs 3.282 billion

So Chinese EVs are about three out of four by number. Anyone here bought an EV this year? Is charging still a headache outside Kathmandu?

Same report: smartphone imports were 811,267 units worth Rs 18.81 billion in those 3 months, with China at 701,244 units (Rs 14.56 billion) and India at 105,829 units (Rs 3.84 billion). It's the same pattern as EVs, mostly China.

Rs 9.4 arba revenue on Rs 16 arba of imports shows the tax on EVs is not small anymore. Pokhara bata Kathmandu EV ma jaane le charging stop kaha garnu huncha? Experience share garnu na.
