For 20 km/day, EV is usually cheaper to run. Charging a scooter at home costs a fraction of petrol per km.
Tax is lower too. In Bagmati, examples from 2083/84: a 1.2 kW scooter pays about Rs 2,500/year, a 3.5 kW commuter Rs 3,000. Some provinces give extra EV discounts (Lumbini 20% for private EVs).
