Category A (motorcycle/scooter) in Bagmati: - Application fee Rs 1,000 - Issue fee after passing trial Rs 3,000 Total Rs 4,000 government fee (other provinces Rs 2,000 total). Small extra for biometrics/medical.
Apply online at https://applydl.dotm.gov.np , pick your transport office and date. Bring citizenship and blood group report. Written test is 20 MCQs, 10 to pass.
Good news on cards: DoTM started printing licences within 24 hours of fee payment in April 2026 and was clearing the old backlog (2.9 million cards) by mid-July 2026.
