ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Permit) is free for Nepali citizens, just carry your citizenship or national ID. SAARC nationals pay about Rs 1,000 and other foreigners Rs 3,000.
Foreigners get the permit at the Nepal Tourism Board office in Kathmandu or Pokhara, or online via NTNC: https://epermit.ntnc.org.np

Foreigners also need a licensed guide on most trekking routes since April 2023 (TIMS through a registered agency). Nepali haru lai yo rule lagdaina.
