- Vitamin A and deworming campaign 2026 moved to 3-4 November
Not cancelled, moved because of Dashain. New dates: 3 and 4 November 2026 (Tue-Wed). About 2.1 million children aged 6 to 59 months get Vitamin A, and about 2 million children aged 1 to 5 get deworming tablets. 52,000 female community health volunteers (FCHVs) and 10,000 health workers are mobilised, so ask your ward FCHV for the booth location. Fees in Nepal (34 pages): Rs 5,000 normal at DAO or Department of Passports, Rs 12,000 fast track at the Department. 66 pages: Rs 10,000 normal, Rs 20,000 fast track. Fill the online pre-enrollment form first (links on https://nepalpassport.gov.np), book a date, then pay online. Normal passport is taking about 15 days at the Department lately. Passport service resumed under a new e-passport contract in July 2026, so there may be some delays during that stabilisation period.
