President: Gagan Kumar Thapa re-elected with 6,584 votes. Rival Shyam Krishna Khadgi got 375. Total 7,013 votes cast, 54 invalid (result 10 Oct). Woman joint general secretary: Pratima Gautam, 5,116 votes. Dalit joint general secretary: Prakash Rasaili 'Snehi', 4,803 votes.
Swearing-in of the newly elected leaders: Thursday 29 October, 2:00 PM, party office in Bipinagar (per member secretary Raju Katuwal). Thapa has said the party must regain public trust, not just votes, and plans a winter awareness campaign.

With 38 seats NC is now the main opposition. Bhishma Raj Angdembe is Leader of the Opposition in the House, separate from the party presidency.
