I'm from Nuwakot. Two months after the 26 August Bhote Koshi flood, what is the actual situation? Our relatives lost documents too.
Bhote Koshi flood two months on: losses, Syabrubesi bridge, new citizenship
Latest numbers from the preliminary Post-Disaster Needs Assessment: Rs 79.17 billion in private losses (households Rs 69.57 billion, businesses Rs 9.60 billion). 32,872 people affected, Nuwakot worst hit with 17,954.
Syabrubesi: a temporary Bailey bridge is being built around the clock, target is before Tihar. A steel-cable footbridge to Bridhim is also planned.
Documents: Rasuwa District Administration Office is taking citizenship replacement applications at the Pipaltar holding centre in Nuwakot. 202 people from Uttargaya-1 applied in the first round.

Good news for Langtang: a Bailey bridge over the Phalakhu river at Betrawati opened, and tourists are coming back. Trek is two days from Dhunche or Syabrubesi.
Thank you. Will tell mama to go to Pipaltar with ward recommendation.
