For my Lok Sewa GK notes: what was the final seat count in the House of Representatives after the 5 March 2026 election? FPTP and PR separately if possible.

House of Representatives, 275 seats (165 FPTP + 110 PR), election held 5 March 2026:

RSP (Rastriya Swatantra Party): 125 FPTP + 57 PR = 182 Nepali Congress: 18 + 20 = 38 CPN (UML): 9 + 16 = 25 Nepali Communist Party: 8 + 9 = 17 Shram Sanskriti Party: 3 + 4 = 7 Rastriya Prajatantra Party: 1 + 4 = 5 Independent: 1

Other GK points: Balen Shah (RSP) became Prime Minister on 27 March 2026. Dol Prasad Aryal (RSP) elected Speaker unopposed on 5 April 2026. Leader of the Opposition: Bhishma Raj Angdembe (Nepali Congress) from 27 April 2026.

Good for GK. Also note it was the first general election after the September 2025 Gen Z protests, with Sushila Karki leading the interim government before that.
