Western Region Engineering Leading Campus as the Paschimanchal Campus

Pashchimanchal campus is one of the constituent campuses of Tribhuvan University (TU) under the Institute of Engineering (IOE) which was established in 1981(2038 B.S.) by the initiation of the then His Majesty Government of Nepal and was brought into operation since 1987 (2044 B.S.) to produce capable and competitive engineering graduates in different engineering disciplines. Now, it is a leading engineering institution in the western part of Nepal. The campus is located in Pokhara, Lamachaur along the side of the Seti River and spreads on 15.8726 hectares (312 ropane) of land. At present, it offers seven bachelor degree programs in Civil, Electronics and Information, Electrical, Mechanical, Geomatics, Computer, and Automobile Engineering; and five master degree courses in Infrastructure Engineering and Management (MSIEM), Communications and Knowledge Engineering (MSCmKE), Distributed Generation in Electrical Engineering (MSDGE), Rock and Tunnel Engineering (MSRTE) and Geospatial Engineering (MSGSE). The campus administration has plan to initiate one master’s level course in Mechanical and Automobile Engineering from the coming academic year 2022. The technical education is a foundation of human resource development and infrastructure enhancement to drive the national objectives and goals. Keeping this in mind, the Pashchimanchal Campus family bears responsibility to address the national demand to launch relevant and sustainable academic programs. That’s why our highly experienced faculty members, staff and lab assistants are always curious and sincere for quality education, making better academic environment. In this way campus has been recently awarded by Certificate of Institutional Accreditation by University Grants Commission, Nepal.
